Research and Work Projects

1. TELISPA (Temi di lingua Spagnola)

The aim of this project, whose name may be translated as 'Topics of the Spanish Language', is to publish a textbook for Spanish language teaching in Italian universities. The text will cover the most important linguistic and didactic topics of the Spanish language up to B2 level according to the 2018 version of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference). The group shall adopt the following methodological approach and pursue the objectives listed below to produce the text:

  • support and guide the user in each learning phase and activity;
  • promote the right balance between a normative and descriptive approach to Spanish;
  • exploit every relevant contrastive aspect in Spanish and Italian for didactic purposes, in order to guarantee maximum usability of the textbook in different teaching contexts;
  • include – in accordance with the new additions to the CEFR – both competences in phonology and phonetics of the Spanish language and mediation skills;
  • disseminate the results of the theoretical research carried out by the GRIG (SPS) members, as well as of their practical experimentation in the classroom and of the latest scientific literature on the topic.

2. MOLIMET (Modalità linguistica mediatrice - Teoria)

The MOLIMET ('Mediation as a Language Mode - Theory') project aims to investigate mediation as a fundamental communication mode, as specified in the 2018 version of the CEFR.

In particular, the following aspects will be explored:

  • CEFR updates, also with the aim of enhancing the comprehension and circulation of their content;
  • the notion of mediation, to avoid any ambiguity with the known profession of the expert mediator.

This project will be developed at the same time as the MOLIMEES project, and they will complement each other.

3. MOLIMEES (Modalità linguistica mediatrice – Esercizi)

In the framework of Spanish language teaching, the project MOLIMEES ('Mediation as a Language Mode - Exercises') was originally intended to create workbooks up to B2 level, in light of the updates to the 2018 CEFR, taking into account the new meaning of the notion of mediation. The workbooks will be primarily addressed to students in the areas of political sciences, law, economics and social sciences as well as university students of other disciplines.

The methodological approach of the research aims to:

  • allow users – both professionals and students – to engage with knowledge that may be directly implemented in their work or studies;
  • offer actual work tools that may be used in real-life mediation rather than simple exercises for language acquisition assessment;
  • develop teaching units to be used alongside the textbook developed by the MOLIMET project.

4. LOCO (Lobbying e Comunicazione)

The LOCO ('Lobbying and Communication') project focuses on political and institutional, corporate and digital communication strategies in the framework of lobbying and advocacy interests and activities. The following issues will be the object of research, study and publication:

  • institutional communication in relations between political/government representatives and heads of institutional affairs at companies/associations and other subjects;
  • digital communication, media engagement and position-taking in online debate dynamics;
  • corporate communication to stakeholders, developing a brand identity and corporate storytelling, which is functional to advocacy and lobbying activities;
  • communication outside the courtroom during the different steps in the prosecution process. Managing and safeguarding the relationships with stakeholders and their reputation.
