The centre intends to enhance the cultural background of certain disciplinary fields and scientific-disciplinary areas covered by the Department and to promote their interdisciplinarity and internationalization. The centre promotes and coordinates studies and research in the fields of Latin American history, politics, sociology, anthropology, law, language and culture. It holds events, conferences, seminars, conventions, congresses and edits the relevant scientific publications. It facilitates mobility exchanges of professors and students in Latin American countries. It promotes postgraduate training activities, also in collaboration with associations, universities and research bodies in Italy and abroad.
