This group aims to analyse the impact that the Great Recession had on the political and policy dynamics in the European context. Research across seven Italian universities focuses on the input side of the political system (process of political representation, parties and movements, and electoral behaviour), the institutional black box (mainly legislatures and executives, and on their relationship in diverse settings), and the output side (capacity to adopt structural reforms, and more specifically taxation, labour, pension and health policies).
