Joint Committee of Faculty-Students
In each Department, a Joint Committee of Faculty-Students is established, typically renewed every three years. The Committee consists of a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 20 members, equally divided between faculty and students. The Department Council appoints the faculty members, including the President. The student members of the Joint Committee are primarily elected from the student representatives in the Department Council and, secondarily, from the councils of the Department’s reference study programs, identified by the same student members of those councils, ensuring compliance with the balanced representation criteria outlined in Article 18, paragraph 8 of the University Statute. If necessary for the equal composition of the Committee, the Department may also request the availability of non-representative students present in the electoral rankings and, as a last resort, students enrolled in the Department’s study programs. The student component within the Joint Committee has a two-year term. The faculty component within the Joint Committee has a three-year term.
