PhD Programme

The service provides support to the PhD Programme in Political and Social Sciences with regard to the following matters:

• Assistance in the preparation of PhD-related procedures for submission and approval by the Department’s Governing Bodies (e.g. resolutions on the activation of the PhD cycle, review of the PhD programme, etc.);

• Distribution of BDD funds;

• Activation of agreements, where applicable;

• Support for PhD candidates regarding reimbursement procedures for travel or research expenses charged to the 10% budget, and verification of financial availability for the disbursement of the additional budget equal to 50% of the scholarship amount for periods spent abroad (the so-called 50% budget);

• Support for PhD candidates and forwarding to the PhD Unit of the University Central Administration for specific requests falling outside the Department’s competence.
