Program
The EU-funded RESPOND research project, led by University of Bologna, is hosting its third online open seminar. Organized by project partner Government Transparency Institute, the session will introduce methods for combining large administrative datasets to measure corruption risks.
The seminar will also feature a case study that links public procurement data with electoral results, examining how patterns in local government spending may relate to changes in political alignment.
Speakers
- Ágnes Czibik (GTI): Managing director of the Government Transparency Institute. Expertise in using large administrative datasets and robust quantitative analysis to provide tools for evaluating government performance and promoting transparency.
- Dániel Kofrán (GTI): Dániel Kofrán is a Senior Quantitative Analyst at GTI, specialising in the use of large administrative datasets to quantify corruption risks. He has worked on several international initiatives aimed at improving integrity in public procurement and advancing data-driven approaches to corruption risk detection.
Chair: Mihály Fazekas (CEU), full professor at the Central European University, Department of Public Policy, with a focus on using Big Data methods to understand the quality of government globally.
